Jiming Temple (Religious Service)

I went to Jiming Temple on March 28th . I choose Jiming Temple because it is Chinese tradition religion and it is the most famous religion places in Nanjing .

Jiming Temple is located in the northeastern part of Nanjing City and it was built first in the Southern Tang Dynasty and then in the Song Dynasty. Jiming Temple is one of the oldest Temple in Nanjing and it can also called old Jiming Temple . Since ancient times, is that people visit the famous scenic spots. All the time has great monks in the temple .

In Jiming Temple the monks are all believed in Buddhism . There are so many different kind of religions in the world, but each religion is unique, Buddhism also is. The greatest feature of Buddhism is about all the life (include human animal and plant ) are equal , and when everyone is born their own are good, they can all be become successful and because of these The Buddhism is also the country religious in China . Many of our Chinese believe in The Buddhism . Buddhism is the world's three major religions and it is the oldest religion. For thousands of years, the development in China the Buddhism have had a profound impact . From the text the arts,and the various aspects of the impact .

I felt comfortable to visited the Jiming Temple , Chinese Temple often let person feel calm and peaceful and I really enjoy that feeling .

Mochouhu Park Tour (Public Events)

On April 24th I went to Mochouhu Park with my friend Ashley . I choose this exhibition I like flower and even in my balcony in my home there are many different kinds of flowers and I take good care of them every day .

It was a Begonia Flower Exhibition . MoChouHu park has become the most complete varieties, the largest hitom species-divided. With the theme of the festival Begonia Flower will this year has 27 years history . Every year Mochouhu Park introducing new Begonia Flower varieties , at present there were more than 30 varieties and more than 4200 woody plants . During Begonia Flower Exhibition each year, there will some traditional programs, such as pens. old bookstores. Begonia Flower color form each are not identical, colorful .

Unfortunately, 23 a rain, we went to visit the quantity and the opening of the Begonia Flower decreased.However, it does not affect my mood for tour. Spring is coming, in
the next day, we have more and more opportunities to enjoy the beautiful scenery . Begonia Flower just a very small part in the nature in Nanjing .

I like this Begonia Flower Exhibition , it was very interesting . This Begonia Flower exhibition let me learned a lot of knowledge on the Begonia flower , learning in exhibition is better than learning in book or just from teachers. Went to this exhibition is also a enjoyment and a practise for my esthetics .

2009 G.C.A. Fashion Show (Go to a Performance)

On April 27th , I went to G.C.A Fashion Show with a part of my classmates . Most students who came are Grade 10 , this is first time for Grade 10 students to join the Fashion Show and most of our Grade 10 students feel excited .

Students can see their own design outfit dressed by their group's models . Beginning of the Fashion Show is a hip-hop performance ,then the Fashion Show begin . There were three parts of clothes , first are the school uniforms and the last are party clothes. The entire fashion show lasted about half hour . Although time for the Fashion Show not long, but who arrived at the scene left a very deep memory . When the make-up after one of the models were coming out from background, with some people I even can not believe my eyes because some great changes have taken on some person .

Also a lot of teachers join the Fashion Show , some of them were models too . Of course , the clothes are all designed by students who choose to designed clothes for teachers . We are all very happy because the results of our work has been displayed in this Fashion Show . Such activities can help develop our thinking and aesthetics . At the same time, do clothes, is also a business tests for us, how to use the least money to get the most satisfactory results.

Eating With My Friends Report

Eating With My Friends Report

On March 7th , I went to a Italian restaurant after 12 o'clock . This is a new food street located in Xinjiekou . We choose on restaurant called "Hello Italian", and we choose only because we want to try Macaroni which our parents told us very famous in the world and it is Italian food. So there was not many people in it when we came in. The environment of the restaurant was very nice and clean with lots of green plants. Our plan is to pay 40-65 yuan each person for this time . In fact, we comply with our plan at the end.

The waitress given us one menu for each of us , then we talked to each other and try to pay the least money buy the most we want to eat . Finally , we ordered three " Tomato Pizza" "Macaroni" and "Seafood noodle". We have not ate these three kinds of food before.

Waiting about 20min all the food finished cooking. During the waiting time we also got some bread to eat. We first took photos with the food , then pick up the tableware and started to eat . Soon we found that the there were not many macaroni ,but it is easy to let us feel we had ate enough . Completely different taste of the food, let me have a new experience with west country . After eating for 40min we all can not eat any more , so we asked the waitress to packaged the food for us .

On March 7th , I went to Nanjing Museum with my friend.The day of good weather, everyone has very pleasant mood. We took bus to the Nanjing museum in the morning.

At the Nanjing Museum, every year the museum has many different exhibitions.Nanjing museum is one of the biggest museum in Nanjing. Nanjing Museum is China's first built by the National Museum . It is located in the south of Purple Mountain in Nanjing, Zhongshan door on the north side, covering 7 million square meters, the two galleries (the history museum and art display Museum) building area of 35,000 square meters, are imitation Liao palace-style architecture, towering spectacular. And there are a lot of plants inside the museum. Nanjing Museum has more than 40 various types of collections 10,000 .

My favourite exhibits is Brick with Molded "The Seven Worthies of the Bamboo Grove and Rong Qiqi " Patterns. It demonstrated Southern Dynasties, A.D,420-589. And it was unearthed in the Xishanqiao Site, Nanjing, Jiangsu province. All the people were famous in china. The different personality ere expressed by strong and forceful lines and figures were divided by the trees. It is a exhibit source for studing the painting style in Wei and Jin Dynasties.

Enjoy this exhibits has a lot of reasons, perhaps the biggest reason is that it comes from my favorite time. Then I also saw some other exhibits. Until 11 o'clock, left the museum. The Nanjing Museum trip let me know more in-depth the culture of my own country.

Physical Activity Report
In these terms, I had finished 20 hours physical activity.

8 hours physical activity in a club called "Roller-Blading" and others 2 hours went swimming with my family on Jan. 1st.

Physical activity is one of the most important part in our life.

There was a old sentence called "life lies in motion." From this sentence i think every can know how importance the physical activity to us. Our body need to do physical activities.

On Oct. 4th ,that was my first time went to this club called "Roller-Blading". And it also was my first time to tough one activity called "Roller- Blading". And I do not know I am suitable or this kinds of activity or not. When I just try on the special shoes I fell a little nervous, because it was hardly for me to stand at that time. And then the teacher came and told what can I do for stand run by this kind of special shoes.(two hours on Saturday afternoon)
On Oct. 11th I went there again ,and at this time i know how to stand and run quickly by this special shoes. Time flies, time to the end to Events. (two hours on Saturday afternoon)
On Oct. 18th there was nothing special happened, and there is no special harvest. (two hours on Saturday afternoon)
On Oct. 24th I still went there to exercise myself. (two hours on Saturday afternoon)
And then I did not went there any more at that term.
I was planning to continue to study the next term.
On Jan. 1st I went to WuTai mountain swimming pool with my father and mother.

One of the biggest hobbies of me is swimming. Very comfortable in the water swimming, I always can easily float in the water. Or, sometimes, I could potentially swim underwater. And shallow pool compared to me to be more like deep pools, because there is less and the buoyancy of water, and can greatly reduce the consumption of me. (about two hours in the afternoon. )

After that I finished others 10 hours swimming for Physical Activity .

Club Activity Report

Club Activity Report
In this term, I finished 8 hours club activity.
In this term a joined a club called '"TV Series", and went their about 8 hours.
Club activity let us combine learning and loving. Not only to serious study, but also to develop their own after-school hobby.

We appreciate the drama or film, and an exchange of ideas.

On Sept. 19st 2008 was our "First Meeting" of this club. We discussed about the mode of operation of the Club, and chose the film what we like for next time.
On Sept. 22nd 2008 we saw "Prison Break" about 1 hour on Tuesday after school.
On Sept. 29th 2008 we saw a film called "Nania" about 1 hour on Tuesday after school but all of us fell sorry that we did not finish it and only very few people came to see it.(About two hours on Tuesday after school.)
On Oct. 4th Ms.Hadley showed us "Happy Trash Video" in Grade 10, all of us laugh for a long time and there was a lot of people came to see it.(About 2 hours after school.)
On Oct. 21st we a cartoon called "Simpson's Family",it was a very funny cartoon.(About one hour on Tuesday after school.)
On Oct. 28th we still watched the cartoon "Simpson's Family", but then there was something happened that was only 4 or 5 people come to this time's club activity for TV series Club. All the people who came at that time felt angry because that was a big problem for a lot of people very rarely times. And the teacher who owned the room which we use also feel unhappy. She through that was not respect her what other people did to her. For this things happened that was why we has another meeting for this club in next time.(Spent about 1hour On Tuesday after school. Only 4 or 5 people came and talk with teacher their ideals for this things and this club.)
On Nov. 18th there was the second meeting day for this club beacous what had happened On Oct. 28th . Only Fortunately, this time, everyone of this club was come.

First of all, members of the club conducted a small-scale discussions with about 3-4 people in one group. Then, some people made a summing up, and then discussed and the teachers explain. This time, the success of the discussion, we once again modify the mode of operation of the club, and then everybody re-fill the list of our name and class.

All of us looking forward to next term the club will have good development.

Volunteer Activity ReportIn this term, I finished 10 hours volunteer activity. I did all my 10 hours volunteer work in a blind children school. Not everyone of them can not see anything, some of them can see something very or can see the light. However, there was one thing I can confirm is that they are very strong. They never or rarely go back, for they had mistake on their eyes, they confidence and a better vision of the future. At school, their lives can completely take care of themselves and of different ages and pleasant to get along with others. Most of them learning very seriously and have a strong thirst for knowledge. I think,perhaps, they think this is a way to make up for their deficiencies.Perhaps for them, can nov see the outside world is a regret. However, that sometimes can help them to see the real world, and not subject to outside influence.My friends and me went their five times. We feel very surprise for their strong thirst for knowledge. We was teaching their English by reading and reading almost every time, sometimes its very boring for us but i think that we had to do it to help them, even very few or very boring things that they let us to do to help them.Sometimes we teach them spelling words sometimes we helped them to translate some sentences. In helping them at the same time, we are also able to deepen our memories. In fact, it will benefit everyone. With their time together is not very long, but I can feel their heart strong.Until the last time a saw them a girl who two years older than me sing a song for me, the songs touch my heart, and I knew what can i do more for them.I sit beside her, and quietly listening to her sing, and talking about each other. Sometimes I am at a loss, because I do not understand the blind world, do not know what they want to do, they are badly of body, and than most people, always seem so special.

Ate at a Mexico Restaurant

In Dec.6th 2008. I ate with Grade 12 students at a Mexico Restaurant.

I had pay for a packages called"Quesadilla Plattter" . It is 2 large floor tortills filled with cheese and we can choice of bffe, pork, chicken, or mushroom.

During the dinner time we talk to each other. Grade 12 sthdents told us how to got high marks in each teachers classes. I think most of the things they told us were very useful for us . I went here alone, but when I ate I sited near Irene and opposite Tanni(A grade 12 student.) I choose Mexico becouse I have never ate at a Mexico resturant before. And another reason is that I knew Mixico restaurant is cheaper than other countries resturant. We choose that becaous we are all free for that day at that time.

I like this dinner very much. It is mu first time to eat Mexico food. And I through Mexico food was very dilicious. They are sutiable for me. In Mexico style food meat is more chinese food. Also the atmosphere at that time was very calm and the air was filled with joy. Everyone felf happy! The environment there was very modern. Full of newspaper on the wall. There were also some foreigners with chinese here. The service was very thoughtful, they cook very hard and as soon as possible. I went there one more time with my middle school friends, Irecommend her to ate the "Quesadilla Platter". She also said that was a nice food.

ⅰ DESCRIBE the artwork.
This is a sculpture for a great who named Fen Youlan. （1895-1990）.The artwork is the head of Fen Youlan. He is a philosopher. In this artwork, there was a pair of glasses on her eyes. He had very long beard like most of Chinese old men before 1949. The man had less hair, and he was look for some other places. The pair of glass on his face looks special because of the type of the sculpture. The man was old and there were many wrinkles on her face.

This artwork is different from others artist’s art work. Because the different artist use different ways to make their artwork. Sometimes Wu Weishan also uses wooden beat to make his own sculpture.
